Workshop on Digital Topology and Mathematical Morphology for Medical Image Analysis

Despite the rapid growth of AI technologies, there are issues such that developed systems provide unreliable results. Most of deep learning based algorithms employ pixel-wise approaches that do not take into account global constraints on topology and/or geometry of anatomy, resulting in anatomically unnatural shape. The aim of the workshop is to find solutions to the issues by bringing together scientists, engineers and physicians of medical image analysis and topological image analysis.
