16-20 mars 2026
Institut d’Etudes Scientifiques de Cargèse - Cargèse (France)
This spring school on the control of dynamical systems (CORSYS) is organized as part of the SPECTRE-EDP– CNRS-Africa Joint Research Program planned for the period 2024-2028.
It offers a unique platform for experts and young researchers to share their scientific advances, exchange ideas, and explore new directions in the themes of SPECTRE-EDP. A central focus of the project is the development of innovative methodologies and tools for elucidating the stability and stabilization of systems governed by partial differential equations. In particular, the ability to prescribe the decay rate of solutions represents a groundbreaking contribution, opening new perspectives for research in the field.
The school will address a wide range of related topics, including dynamical systems theory, partial differential equations (PDEs), operator theory, spectral theory, stability theory, and control theory. These areas are fundamental to the modeling and understanding of complex phenomena in physics, engineering, biology, and other applied sciences.
Participants will also have the opportunity to present their recent work, engage in discussions on open problems, and foster interdisciplinary collaborations that may give rise to new scientific advances.
And, after all, what better place than « L’institut d’Etudes Scientifiques de Cargèse » Corsica--geographically poised between France and Africa—to host a program like SPECTRE-EDP, which itself aspires to be a scientific bridge between the two continents?
