Paris Autumn School on Artificial Intelligence in Electron Microscopy
15-17 oct. 2025
Université Paris Cité - Campus Odéon - Paris (France)
The aim of the school is to provide an exciting learning experience on Artificial intelligence for Electron Microscopy.
Mor precisely, it will combine lectures, hands-on training and discussions on the following topics:
- History and state of the art of the field
- Architectures and functionalities of Machine Learning (ML)/Deep Learning (DL) models
- Optimised generation/management of realistic datasets for model training
- Application of ML/DL models in electron microscopy data processing and analysis (denoising, super-resolution, semantic segmentation and classification of images and spectra).
The School is open to:
PhD students and more experienced researchers wishing to acquire a base knowledge in ML/DL and practical training in its application to transmission electron microscopy, easily transposable to other types of imaging, from the creation of representative databases to the analysis of imaging, diffraction and spectroscopy data.
This School will focus on the application of the latest approaches in Deep Learning, in particular with the latest diffusion model. The morning sessions will be dedicated to lectures by experts, with the afternoon sessions devoted to hands-on training on computers providing practical expertise ML/DL-based data processing and analysis.
