The IFToMM Young Faculty Group (YFG) is a cross-disciplinary initiative dedicated to advancing IFToMM's mission from within the academic core. By bringing together early-career professors and lecturers from around the globe, the group seeks to explore how mechanism and machine science can help address the academic and technological challenges of the future. The IFToMM Young Faculty Group Symposium on Emerging Fields in Mechanism and Machine Science (IFToMM YFG-MMS) is a single-track, peer-reviewed symposium designed to foster international collaboration and networking among young faculty through an innovative and engaging format. The third edition of the IFToMM YFG-MMS will take place in Sousse, Tunisia, from 12 to 15 April 2026. The symposium welcomes contributions across a broad spectrum of topics within mechanism and machine science and engineering, including: biomechanical engineering, computational kinematics, engines and power trains, gearing and transmissions, linkages and mechanical controls, micromachines, multibody dynamics, reliability, robotics and mechatronics, rotor dynamics, sustainable energy systems, transportation machinery, tribology, vibrations, education, terminology standardization, the history of mechanism and machine science, and sustainability.
