Problem-solving is a concept that dates back to the 1950s, coinciding with the emergence of artificial intelligence. The objective of artificial intelligence research is to design and develop software capable of performing tasks that typically require some level of human intelligence. Various techniques have been devised to program systems capable, to some degree, of reasoning, learning, planning, making rational decisions across different domains, and understanding and communicating in natural language. Current artificial intelligence technologies encompass voice interfaces, expert systems, mobile robots, and intelligent web assistants. Although these technologies are undoubtedly significant, achieving machines that can rival human intelligence in all aspects remains a distant goal. The aim is to introduce problem-solving principles using different artificial intelligence techniques.
