The South Caucasian Chalk Circle 4 (SCCC4) will bring together linguists working on different aspects of the scientific study of all Caucasian languages with special emphasis on the South Caucasian family. The conference series aims to promote dialogue between scholars from different approaches and at different career stages. To facilitate the exchange of knowledge, views and skills, the conference will combine talks and poster sessions with round tables and tutorials on specific languages and their registers. Previous SCCCs met in Paris (September 2016) and Tbilisi (2018, 2023). The 2023 website is available at https://linguistics.iliauni.edu.ge/. Submission guidelines Abstracts are invited for 30min talks and for posters. Abstracts should be anonymous and at most two pages long (A4, 1in margins on all four sides, easily readable font/size, e.g., Times New Roman 12pt), inclusive of data and references. All areas of linguistic study of (South) Caucasian languages are welcome, including computational linguistics, language acquisition, morphology, neurolinguistics, phonetics, phonology, pragmatics, psycholinguistics, semantics, syntax, typology, and writing systems.
