Applied mathematics and scientific computing are crucial for understanding the environment, especially in the context of the considerable changes observed in recent decades. Several systems, such as multiphase flows, porous media, thermo-hydro-mechanical processes, magnetodynamics, are modeled by partial differential equations (PDEs). Solving these equations and performing numerical simulations in a variety of domains, including climate change adaptation, extreme event forecasting, renewable energy, and environmental protection, require advanced numerical methods. Furthermore, an in-depth investigation of the properties of the numerical methods is essential to ensure reliability in such real-world applications. This event seeks to gather together young researchers working on those problems, to share knowledge, foster collaboration and inspire innovative ideas.
