ML and AI in structural biology: Looking beyond AlphaFold/RosettaFold for remaining blindspots

AlphaFold2/3 and RosettaFold are impressive tools. However, the Nobel prize should not give the impression that all details about their use are known. We are therefore organizing a workshop on the use of ML/AI in structural biology. The workshop is aiming to regroup experimentalists and theoretical groups to discuss advances but also limitations in the performance and use of those tools. The schedule is planned to be organized around two activities: - lectures presenting recent works from invited speakers - interactive exploration of models obtained with alphafold2/3 and RosettaFold in our visualization room (allowing 3D +/- VR). These events in smaller groups are intended to allow an interdisciplinary dialogue.
