The use of drawing as a tool for understanding bodily experience has interested researchers and clinicians for over a century. Among the best-known are Goodenough's famous drawing of the man (1926), and the bread charts used by Palmer from 1949 to locate pain. Today, these investigative techniques are being renewed through a range of visual materials (Leavy, 2018; Rose, 2014, 2016). They are becoming standardised, as shown by the creation of new tools such as the Body Awareness Chart (ABC) (Danner et al., 2017) or the still contemporary use of bread charts (Bernhoff et al. 2016). Drawing aims to show what cannot always be put into words.
Let's ask ourselves the question: What uses for conscience drawing in the 21st century?
