Altricialité Secondaire et Entraide / Secondary Altriciality and Cooperation

Bernard LAHIRE (CNRS, Research Director, UMR 5283 Centre Max Weber Lyon), Hélène COQUEUGNIOT (CNRS, Research Director & EPHE-PSL, UMR 6034 Archéosciences-Bordeaux) and Rayan DEQUIN (PhD student, UMR 5283 Centre Max Weber Lyon, ENS Lyon), organize an international conference, "Secondary Altriciality and Cooperation", at the Centre Condorcet in Paris, 5- 6 November 2024, granted by the CNRS (MTII Mission for Transversal and Interdisciplinary Initiatives). The topic of this conference focuses on the issue of secondary altriciality and more specifically its link with mutual aid. The purpose is to bring together international specialists from different fields (sociology and cultural anthropology, paleoanthropology and biological anthropology, as well as ethology and primatology) to enrich the discussions by interdisciplinary exchanges. The presentations and the discussions will be published in a volume following the conference.
