In recent years, the discovery and exploration of two-dimensional ferroelectrics, and specifically interfacial ferroelectrics, have opened up exciting possibilities in nanoscience and nanotechnology. These materials exhibit unique ferroelectric properties at the interface, coupled with optical degrees of freedom, making them highly promising for a wide range of applications, including but not limited to memory devices, sensors, actuators, and photonic devices. This workshop explore their fundamental properties, applications in devices, characterization techniques, and growth mechanisms. The workshop will explore the potential of 2D ferroelectrics in shaping the future of non-volatile memory and low-threshold nonlinear optical components. These materials have a unique combination of ferroelectric and optical properties, with promising implications for photonics and neuromorphics. Key Topics to be Covered: o Interfacial ferroelectricity in 2D materials and heterostructures o Optoelectronic properties of 2D ferroelectrics o 2D ferroelectrics networks, moiré, FE-domains o Electrical and optical control of 2D ferroelectric devices o Integration of 2D interfacial ferroelectrics o Large scale synthesis of 2D ferroelectrics, 2D heterostructures assembly o 2D ferroelectrics combined with 2D ferromagnetism o Devices: ferroelectrics 2D-FET, tunneling transistors o Neuromorphic photonic computing and optical neural networks
