RRPR2024 : Fifth Workshop on Reproducible Research in Pattern Recognition (satellite event of ICPR 2024) (Kolkata, India - 1 december 2024)

The topic is Reproducible Research (RR) in direct relation to the Pattern Recognition domains, corresponding to most of the ICPR topics where research results relies on algorithms and code implementation. RRPR 2024 is intended as both a short participative course on the Reproducible Research aspects, leading to open discussions with the participants, and also as a practical workshop on how to actually perform RR. In addition, another key goal for gathering the research community is to further advance the scientific aspects of reproducibility in pattern recognition research. The call for papers includes three main tracks : (1) RR frameworks (including experiences, frameworks or platforms), (2) RR results focusing the quality of the reproducible aspects of research results, (3) short paper. RRPR short papers are designed to allow authors the extra space needed to document the steps they have taken to make the work they report in regular ICPR papers more reproducible. Normally this valuable information might not appear in a conference paper, but by creating this special opportunity, we hope to grow awareness and visibility for reproducibility as a core aspect of pattern recognition research. RRPR will also provide an excellent forum for ICPR authors to share and discuss best practices in reproducibility to help advance the field.
