Towards a plurilingual language curriculum: fostering pluricultural communication in our digital age

This international conference is part of a multidisciplinary approach to languages and cultures (didactics of languages in the international sense of Applied Linguistics). The proposition is to engage in a common reflection on languages and cultures, supporting the teaching and learning of languages across contexts. This multi-disciplinary approach is part of a broad perspective on education and teacher training, with its own multi-disciplinary approaches (history, philosophy, sociology, psychology, public and institutional policies, etc.). Participants are invited to (re)think languages in terms of intercultural communication, as a common contribution to the curriculum, from a plurilingual and pluricultural perspective. In a changing world, we need to radically rethink the language curriculum in order to foster pluricultural and intercultural communication, taking into account its online and offline nature.
