IEEE Magnetic Frontiers 2024 - Magnetic Materials and Motors for Green Energy Applications

Magnets are key enablers for the green energy transition! The 2024 IEEE Magnetic Frontiers conference will be hosted by TU Darmstadt, where the group of Functional Materials is a worldwide leading research group for magnetic materials such as permanent and soft magnets, magnetocalorics as well as magnetic shape memory and magnetostrictive materials. The IEEE Magnetic Frontiers conference 2024 will be on Magnetic Materials and Motors for Green Energy Applications and will cover the development of permanent magnets, soft magnets and magnetocalorics. The topics will be divided into fundamental material research at universities and the respective application development in industry and SMEs (transformer, motor, generator, cooling systems), but also on resource efficiency/primary mining and magnet recycling in order to address closing-the-loop approaches. The fundamental aspect of material development will also focus on novel computational methods, such as Machine Learning and data driven accelerated material discovery. We will set up an excellent program with highly distinguished international speakers and a lot of space for open discussions and networking in order to allow the participants for vivid exchange. With this we hope to foster fruitful discussions between fundamental researchers and industry developments in a comfortable atmosphere.
