Metal halide perovskites have emerged over the last decade as innovative semiconductor materials with outstanding optoelectronic properties and promising results in various areas of applications such as solar cells, light-emitting diodes, lasers, photodetectors, transistors. More recently, new emerging applications have been proposed as thermoelectric, photocatalytic, spintronic or photonic devices to name just a few. This summer school is organized under the auspices of the French CNRS groupe de recherche HPERO. The objective is to provide a comprehensive and strong background on the physics and chemistry of metal halide perovskite materials, their properties, processing and optoelectronic applications. The complete program is organized in three inter-related blocks, covering 1) the fundamentals of metal halide perovskite material with a focus on crystal, chemical and defect engineering and surface/interface management, 2) their physical properties and various means of experimental and theoretical characterization, simulation and modeling, 3) application to devices, including emerging applications. Additional tutorial and master classes will be given by distinguished scientific lecturers on dedicated topics and fundamental questions with a sharing of knowledge format of discussion.
