1st Workshop on Finite Elements for Cell and Tissue Morphogenesis

The purpose of the workshop is to bring together leading experts and researchers in the area of finite elements and mechanobiology, with a specific interest in modeling morphogenesis in animal and plant systems. During the workshop we aim at discussing in a cooperative manner the latest advancements, challenges and opportunities in this research field, with a particular focus on the following sub-topics: • Cell/tissue large deformations and growth • Meshing/Remeshing challenges and topology changes • Coupled bulk-surface dynamics (cortex-cytoplasm, epithelium-yolk etc...) • Mechanochemical couplings • Multiscale modelling of morphogenesis • Acceleration techniques
