Connect. Collaborate. Create: Bridging Communities for Participatory Research and Citizen Science 2023" is a participatory research and citizen science conference happening in Paris from October 19-21, 2023. Co-organised by COESO and PRO-Ethics, the conference aims to bring together various European communities engaged in these fields, particularly within the social sciences and humanities.
This conference uses the interactive model of ThatCamps and BarCamps, inviting attendees to shape the content and activities. Topics for discussion revolve around six core areas, including methodologies for citizen science and the evaluation of participatory processes. Attendees include citizen science practitioners, academic researchers, policy makers, and more.
With an emphasis on participation, attendees are encouraged to contribute through workshops, breakout sessions, or poster presentations. The goal is to stimulate a productive exchange of ideas that promotes the advancement of participatory research and citizen science.
