CSAW'23 Europe Applied Research Competition

CSAW (https://www.csaw.io) is the most comprehensive student-run cyber security event in the world, featuring 7 cyber competitions, workshops, and industry events. Final events are hosted by 5 global academic centers.

CSAW Europe is organized for the 7th time by Grenoble INP - Esisar and LCIS laboratory in Valence, France. Applied Research Competition aims at selecting the best cyber-security papers already published by students during the previous year.

To participate, submit your already published paper to https://csaw23-eur-arc.sciencesconf.org, before September 10th. Selected finalists will be invited to present their work to CSAW'23 Europe in Grenoble-INP - Esisar in Valence, France in November 9th and 10th. A jury of industrial experts will select the three papers that will win the competition and get a prize (details pending).

Lodging and travel expenses for finalists will be funded by CSAW.

ELIGIBLE SUBMISSIONS

Eligible submissions include papers that meet the following five conditions:

The paper's topic is related to the design, application, implementation, or exploitation of security technologies.

The research is already being used in practice or has the potential to be used in practice.

The paper is published or camera-ready between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023. Both conference papers and journal papers are eligible.

At least one of the paper authors was a student enrolled at a university located in the european region (*) during the publishing period, 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023. Papers are still eligible for submission if the student graduated during this period, so long as the published or camera-ready paper was submitted while the author was still a student.

A student author is available to present the paper in person during CSAW Finals in Valence.

(*) European region: Armenia, the European Union, Norway, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom
