The European Underwater and Baromedical Society (EUBS) is the european scientific society dedicated to the study and promotion of diving and hyperbaric medicine. Its annual scientific meeting gathers leading international experts bringing together the results of their studies. It is a unique occasion for researchers, health professional, diver experts and enthusiasts of underwater and hyperbaric medicine to share and foster their knowledge with the latest studies and researches carried on this field at the worldwide level. The EUBS annual scientific meeting is organized every year in a different country. The 48th edition will take place from September 16th to 20th 2024 in Brest (France), at The Quartz, Convention Centre, in the city center. It will be organized by the ORPHY laboratory (Université de Bretagne Occidentale), in partnership with the city of Brest, the Département du Finistère and the Région Bretagne. At the crossroads between sea and health, the scientific program will combine cutting edge advances about the safety of scuba divers (recreative, tek, commercial, military), breath-hold divers, workers in hyperbaric environments (tunneling, hyperbaric chambers servants), and the use of therapeutic hyperbaric oxygen (and other gases) in medical practice. Conferences, posters and exhibitions will constitute the core of this meeting, and a special attention will be paid to other publics with a young investigators training session, for Ph.D students, and an opened public session dedicated to science popularisation. Social events will propose to discover the maritime natural and historic heritage of this maritime metropolis located at the far west of Europe. The organizers of EUBS2024 will therefore be happy to welcome you many, we hope, at this next edition. Kenavo Emberr!
